Unabe to start mysql "MySQL manager or server PID file could not be found!"

Don’t Panic if you get this error when you start, restart or stop your mysql engine.
Try these steps, This will fix your issue.

# ps -ef |grep mysql|awk '{print $2}'|xargs kill -9
# vi /tmp/mysql.sock
# chown -R mysql:mysql mysql.sock
# which mysql

/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql

# find / -name hostname

/usr/bin/hostname
/usr/ucb/hostname

# ln -s /usr/bin/hostname /usr/local/bin/hostname
# vi /etc/init.d/mysql

find
basedir=
datadir=

change with

basedir=/usr/local/mysql
datadir=/usr/local/mysql/var

# /etc/init.d/mysql start

Starting MySQL
SUCCESS!
